Algae is easier to remove than mold and shouldn t take too much effort to remove off of your vinyl siding. Prune tree limbs and bushes so that they don t press up against your home. Fill a bucket with warm water and mix in the oxygen bleach powder according to the package directions. Take care to get as little soap as possible beneath the siding.

The long term solution to algae and mildew growth on your vinyl siding includes identifying and repairing the root cause. Next tape electrical outlets vents etc with duct tape. Look for ones that are specially formulated for use on vinyl siding. You could use a power washer however some manufacturers recommend against them.
